Hungarian producer Richard Hegedüs aka Richard Sander brings us his debut release on Defcon under his "Rising Sun" alias with "Across The Sea". The original is a floaty, melodic affair with a simple but catchy riff that builds and develops throughout, complimented with a delightful breakdown. Space Garden's remix ramps up the bass and gives us a more driving version, with intertwining melodies that combine into a powerful crescendo. Ramping up the power, N&R Project's remix is a much chunkier, upbeat interpretation, with a banging bassline and massive breakdown. Already a favourite of Manuel Le Saux's, Paul Todd's remix is another banging affair, piano-laden melodies and sublime synth-work give us probably his finest Defcon effort to date. Rounding things off, Oliver V gives a more Balearic-tinged effort with a laid-back but pleasing remix just made for the summer. All in all we hope you find something amongst the package that you like, with plenty more in store from Defcon to come in the next few weeks too!
