Default Richard Durand’s debut album Always The Sun finally released!

The beginning of Richard Durand’s worlwide career is as interesting and extraordinary as the monumental DJ himself. Rumour has it that it all started when Tiesto heard Durand’s remix of Lethal Industry during his tour in the US. World’s number 1 was so impressed by the material that he invited Richard to support him for the rest of the tour. Now, after long years of keeping his ever growing number of fans, numerous fantastic productions and spectacular performances worldwide, Richard Durand has finally brought us his first album, Always the Sun. The results of his work will surely make up for the waiting, because this release is a pure killer!

You might know what to expect from a guy that has provided us with so many amazing tracks: Slipping Away, Sweap And Repeat, Ledged Up and Weep as well as the biblically good remixes of Tiësto's Lethal Industry and Flight 643, Art Of Trance classic Madagascar, The Prodigy’s Smack My Bitch Up just to name the few. It would be far frome reinventing the wheel to say that he’s got talent, but he really does, and the amounts of it are beyond anybody’s expectations. If you’ve seen him preform live the picture gets even bigger – Durand is probably the only one in the world capable of mixing on 3 or even 4 CD players at once, changing the loops and patterns as if he was playing the piano. In fact this really resembles playing a live instrument – he doesn’t just play the tracks on the CDs – he composes an original live material during his every single performance, not to mention the fact that for almost every one he tweaks and changes the tracks, prepares some one-night-only mash-ups and such. Something one could really go on for ages, you could write a very successful thesis on that. And if the current set is not being recorded, you’re probably the few people in the wolrd that will ever listen to what he’s playing. Amazing? Defnintely!

The album is released on Tiësto’s label Magik Muzik and includes fifteen brand new tracks in Durand’s distinctive highly energetic manner. Among some very probable future dance floor killers you’ll find some very interesting collaborations with vocalists of German born singer Simon Binkenborn (great vocals in Leon Bolier’s I Finally Found You) and the infamous Dutch singer Carol van Dyk. This release should be a cherry on top of the pie of Durand’s career so far and a definite must for you to have.
