Almost 2 years later, the Turkish wonderkid Faruk Sabanci’s massive uplifting anthem: Maiden’s Tower gets the 2011 treatment, with some of the most coveted artists of today’s trance scene coming up with their interpretations.
Maiden’s Tower 2011 (Andrew Rayel’s 1AM Intro Remix):
Moldova’s Andrew Rayel takes the charge as he spawns his magic wand on the original to come up with a downright awesome progressive rework. Intro mix delves straight into the heavenly strings, building a classical overture as the buzzing bassline is introduced. Quite araneous arrangement of percs injects a subtle groove to it. The middle section bursts out with brilliant synth stabs recreating that celestial melody with the operatic vocals retained. Essential mix here, folks; not to be missed..!
Maiden’s Tower 2011 (Thomas Datt Remix):
Thomas Datt brings traditional ‘Discover’ flavour with this remix. Rolling bassline and huge kickdrum leaves an earsplitting mark forever! A chiming plucky melody surfaces during the break. A nice play on the original minus the vocals, with towering synths floating above; resulting into an absolutely driving piece of trance rework.
Maiden’s Tower 2011 (Gal Abutbul & Liri Remix):
Gal Abutbul & Liri from Israel takes the original and gives it an unpredictable twist with their tech-house influences. Deep and Dark, more in the vein of Coldharbour, this one features a groovy bassline with an electro touch and a whacky lead which creates a dizzying soundscape, capable of destroying any floor…!
Amazing variety provided here by the A&R team of Arisa Audio. All 3 are equally stellar in their respective genres, but Andrew Rayel really nails it here, with a strong melodic remix, just enough to take your breath away..!
