Steve Anderson is a full time DJ/Producer/Label Owner based in Edinburgh, Scotland. With an extensive history in the music industry which dates back to the age of 7, Steve claimed National & World Drumming titles before the age of 14. After performing around the UK in various bands in his teens, Steve fully moved into the EDM sector in 1994 starting out as a DJ in Scotlands clubs.
Steve secured weekly residencies in Scotlands elite venues between 1994 and 2000, before being headhunted by Edinburgh Club “Cube” and Glasgow FM Radio Station “Beat 106” for DJ and Director Of Music residencies in 2001. From 2001-2004 Steve attracted a large following across Scotland as a result, and thereafter began working as a Trance Music Producer and Label Owner. Since 2004 he has toured in Europe and USA, as well as promoted/played at some of the worlds finest clubs & events including Eden Ibiza, Tramps Tenerife, Miami WMC, various festivals & more. Steve made the move into music production in 2004, and shortly after joined forces with Chris Breame to create the hugely popular Trance duo A/B Project. The guys lay claim to some big releases, earning various awards along the way.
Steve owns DJSA Records, SAME Recordingsand SAME Progressive labels, which are a base for some fantastic artists including A/B Project, Daniel Kandi, Sunny Lax, BRM, Dave Walker, Steve Anderson, Ehren Stowers and many more. Success highlights include ASOT “Future Favourite” and “Tune Of The Week” awards, licensing to various compilation albums, and to the DVD release of “Armin Only 2008” on Armada Music. Alongside his DJ and production work, Steve also owns and hosts the globally syndicated “SAME Radio Show” every week, which attracts a mass global audience and is aired on a station somewhere around the globe every single day of the week.
A former turntablist with almost unrivalled technical ability, Steve Anderson brings incredible energy and perfection to both his DJ sets and studio production work – as is evident in his recent huge releases such as “Eternal Optimism”, “Misconceptions”, “Neve”, “Before Long”, “Closer”, “Adversity”, “Everything Ends” and “Always More”. Steve was the first ever Trance artist to be awarded “One For The Weekend” by National BBC Radio One in the UK, and his work is heavily supported by the world’s elite DJs and radio stations. He is also considered one of the leading vocalists in the Trance & Progressive scene, and now in great demand for this purpose also. With a host of fantastic new productions constantly in the pipeline, Steve Anderson is one of the finest Trance DJs, Producers, Remixers and Vocalists working in the dance music industry today.
