Ranim Hallab was born in Tripoli, the northern city of Lebanon, on the 28th of June, 1986. He first discovered his passion for music upon watching his cousin mixing tracks together – this is where it all began for Raneem. At around 15 years of age, he started experimenting with DJing and production, mixing and remixing diverse music genres, ranging from RnB, to Hip-Hop, to Arabic, to Dance music, through the use of DJing programs at an early stage. Raneem discovered Trance music after some time, and things took a 180 degrees turn right then.

He started producing his own Trance tracks in 2004, composing rich melodies and complex chords without even taking any music lessons, simply out of having a sharp musical ear and refined taste in electronic sounds. Succeeding in this challenge as well got Raneem’s DJing and Music Production more of a passion than a hobby of his. As time went by, he enhanced his production skills to the point of becoming fully capable of producing top notch tracks and remixes of almost the same standard as any professional Trance producer out there. This encouraged him even further to build his own home studio, by buying some essential mixing and production hardware.

DJiing wise, Raneem today hosts his very own monthly Trance show called "Beirut On Fire", on AH.FM (every 2nd Friday at 3 pm GMT). Production wise, Raneem released Back In Time with Proxoz Recordings on September 8th, 2008, and Black Hole on September 9th with Bonzai Worx - Tranceportation Records. In addition, a Raneem Remix of C-Rouge Ft. Shake - Dle Yaman was released on Proxoz Recordings on the 1st of September.

Raneem nowadays is working on more of his own productions and remixes that will be released in 2009. Stay tuned!
