Australia’s newest export, UK based Matt Bowdidge is fast becoming a name recognized within the trance elite.

2011 has already been a big year for Matt Bowdidge, signing a deal with legendary UK Trance Label ‘Discover Records’, that has seen Matt release his debut EP and his remix of ‘Tayrona’ for Sly One Vs Jurrane, on the label to much acclaim and support.

Matt’s most recent project was to mix the latest Discover album (Chapter Three), the third in the series chronicling selected tracks from the most recent releases. Matt follows on from John Askew and Sly One Vs Jurrane who have mixed the previous albums in this series.

Although new to the International scene, Matt has been DJ’ing for 7 years, playing all over Australia and New Zealand, playing at big nights that include the likes of Ministry of Sound, DefQon sideshows & locally promoted nights supporting the big acts that Matt now plays along side.

Aiming for beats that kick, balanced by punchy themes and emotive sounds that leave the spine tingling, Matt’s quest towards his signature sound has led him on a singular journey of discovery. His fascination with the construction of layers is what led Matt towards the path of production.

2010 saw Matt launch his international radio show ‘Captivation’ which airs on Australia’s BAM Radio & Europe’s PureSound.FM monthly, and is fast becoming popular all over the globe. The show also includes & continues to include guest mixes from international & upcoming local talent.
