Config, born in 1985, is a Belgian Dj who already was into mixing music since he was about 14 years old. Music has always been present in his life, but mixing tracks into other ones was something he was greatly fascinated with.
Before even discovering software he was making transitions between Windows media player and Winamp. After a while he thought it was time for a step forward and started mixing some tunes using better software. But using software to mix with didn't satisfy Config enough, he wanted to feel how it was like to mix with real hardware instead.
Config now owns 2 cdj 800's which he uses to mix his livesets and radioshows with. His style consisted mostly of playing Trance and uplifting tracks in the past, but he never got rid of progressive, his favourite style of EDM. These days Config plays very diverse sets in which the sounds travel from house to really melodic sounding tracks.
Last year Config also started making mashups in his free time. His first mashup immediately received support from Koris vs DJule, Milan Lieskovsky and many others, but in the summer of 2007 he had a real blast when his newest mashup Deadmau5 vs Yilmaz Altanhan - Faxing Eighties (Config's Encrypted Mashup) was played by James Zabiela, and was selected to be in his August Promo mix. Lots of support followed and slowly Config was getting a little bit of his fame also.
But deejaying still is his biggest love and in his 2 hour show Inner Sanctuary he's focussing on the broad style of progressive. From deephouse to progressive house, from deep entrancing tunes to progressive trance. Config doesn't limit himself to one single style but embraces all music that moves people. With beautiful melodies, funky rhythms or deeper vibes, you'll never know what to expect when hearing a set by this dj, but you'll know the Config-stamp will be all over it.
