New release from the Danish king of uplifting trance
Cutting straight to the chase, it is an easy job to recommend Daniel Kandi’s tracks. More often than not an artist releasing a large number of tracks in a year fails to mantain the quality of his or her productions. The Dane, however, has managed to remain potent and fresh, giving the world of trance many amazing and unforgetable moments, which is relevant to both his own productions as well as to the remixes.
The latest production from Kandi is, happily, no exception. It’s good to know that some things don’t change. Venice Beach, however, is a bit surprising as it is not as ‘banging’ as many of Kandi’s tracks and its tempo is lower, which makes it much more focused on the melody. The melo itself resembles the everlasting Amsterdam form Luminary, especially the Super8 & Tab remix, but then again it’s an Anjunabeats release as well.
A lot of interesting stuff going on in the remixes, which are even slower than the two versions from Kandi. Quite a surprise for Estiva to go that slow with his edit, but the final outcome is really well made, adding some extra touches to the melody which is even more vivid. Yuan’s mix is purely progressive in both style and tempo and shows one more shade of the main motiff. All in all, each mix of Venice Beach on the release sounds really good and is interesting because of the four different ways the melody is built. Good work Kandi & Co.!
This is therefore a really straightforward move you have to make, which is to get your hands on this release as soon as you finnish reading this sentence.
